Reporting to the Head of Business Development and Partner Engagement, this role is responsible for the development and delivery of a targeted, robust, private sector industry pipeline, and revenue streams to ensure the short and long-term sustainability of ventureLAB programs and operations.
The Business Development Manager, Private Sector Partnerships will also collaborate closely with the VP Hardware Catalyst Initiative and the Programs, Venture Growth, and Marketing teams to set and implement partnership strategies that support the organization’s key pillars of hardware technology, enterprise software and inclusivity, the expansion of ventureLAB partnerships into new industry verticals, and the diversification of our funding base.
The successful candidate will possess a strong business development mentality, and the demonstrated ability to deliver an exceptional customer experience, and convert strategic goals into profitable, multi-year, revenue-generating partnerships. The job also necessitates the ability to switch seamlessly between strategic thinking, proposal development, presentations, and tactical work.
The Business Development Manager requires proven relationship building skills in the technology and/or financial services sectors, a deep understanding of the sales process, and a proven track record delivering complex projects and agreed revenue targets and KPIs in a timely manner.
