Darcie has a formal background in orchestral performance, and economic development. She has spent the last decade working in arts, and projects that help create and cultivate community through organic growth. Darcie believes small businesses, creators and innovators are the heartbeat of a city’s civic core and cultural building blocks. She has a fierce passion for the future and current talent of Canada, and tries to weave her personal and professional path to celebrate them.In 2020, she built and managed a nature-based yoga teacher training program with KIND Yoga in Markham, and started a small business herself in making and donating fabric face masks to help the people protecting our community. Darcie believes in finding solutions to help give fair access, to raise others up and help them achieve their goals, in developing processes that work for the people using them, and to try to leave a footprint on our planet that can help others for generations.
