Steve Hikida

Steve Hikida is the Vice President and General Manager of Compiler Engineering responsible for delivering Intel's C/C++, Data Parallel C++ (SYCL), and Fortran compilers exploiting CPU and GPU, as well as, leading Intel’s effort in LLVM.  He has over 30 years of experience in compilation technologies, systems designs, software development, security and product management.  Steve joined Intel in 2021 from IBM, where he most recently served as the executive leader of research, development, product management, strategy and design of compilation technologies and enterprise tools. Previously, he led the integration of several startups in application security and security intelligence within IBM.  He is passionate about innovation, mentoring/coaching, and creating great products.  He also enjoys photography, travel, house renovations, and is inherently curious.
