(Markham, ON) ventureLAB is proud to announce the appointment of Dejana Dua as Head of Hardtech Investor Network (HIN) & Capital Programs a key milestone in advancing its mission to power hardtech founders in building and scaling globally competitive ventures that strengthen Canada’s knowledge-based economy.
In her new role, Dejana will expand HIN’s national and global presence, deepen stakeholder engagement, and drive strategic initiatives that unlock new pathways to investment for Canada’s most ambitious hardtech companies.
In addition to this role, Dejana will continue to lead the Investment Readiness program, where the advisory team has advised numerous tech entrepreneurs and helped unlock over $100 million in combined equity and non-dilutive funding. “Dejana is a powerhouse with a rare combination of deep sector knowledge, capital markets expertise, and an unwavering commitment to founder success,” said Hugh Chow, CEO of ventureLAB. “She has been instrumental in laying the foundation for HIN’s early momentum, and her leadership will be key in realizing its full potential as a force multiplier for the HardTech ecosystem.”
With over 25 years of experience supporting technology ventures from concept to commercialization, Dejana brings an exceptional track record to this role. She has served as Managing Partner at Anexa Capital, investing in founders solving complex global challenges across AI/ML, cybersecurity, life sciences, cleantech, quantum, and enterprise infrastructure. Her expertise in capital strategy, commercialization, and ecosystem building uniquely positions her to guide HIN’s evolution.
Dejana has long been a champion of innovation and capital access, serving as an advisor, mentor, guest lecturer, panelist, and board member across the global investment and innovation community.
