Seneca Applied Research supports industry driven research and development, through collaborations with Seneca faculty and students. Businesses can access talent, research infrastructure and grant funding support to further innovation within their enterprises. Seneca has established four multidisciplinary research centres:

Seneca HELIX

Seneca HELIX, Seneca’s Innovation and entrepreneurship incubator, is focused on supporting innovators to design, launch and scale sustainable startups as entrepreneurs; and develop new transferable skills as intrapreneurs within an existing organization. Seneca HELIX does not charge any fees nor take ownership in any startups.

Work-Integrated Learning (WIL)

Work-Integrated Learning (WIL) is an experiential learning opportunity between Seneca, students and you the employer. We provide skilled and job-ready employees across various sectors, for a minimum of four months (one semester) with typically full-time hours. There are a variety of funding opportunities, wage subsidies and tax credits available to employers that hire WIL students.
