Summer Highlights

We launched three new programs!

This summer, we announced the Hardware Catalyst Initiative (HCI) and Tech Undivided (TU). We also launched our Pre-Accelerator Support Program (PSP), aimed at earlier stage startups. PSP allows earlier stage startups to work with our team to refine and solidify their value proposition and business model – and prepare them for one of our later-stage growth programs. Introducing the Hardware Catalyst Initiative (HCI), Canada’s first hardware and silicon-focused incubator

This competitive program supports silicon and hardware companies to scale their businesses in southern Ontario and compete globally. With a $5 million investment by FedDev Ontario, HCI will strengthen our region’s existing deep tech expertise and support hardware and silicon-based companies to accelerate commercialization, growth and globalization. Bridging diversity gaps in the tech sector with Tech Undivided

Tech Undivided is a new initiative led by ventureLAB, to bridge gender and diversity gaps in the tech sector to support women in tech: female founders, women working in technical roles, and women leaders in tech companies. The program will focus on two core activities: cohort-based programming, and the development of a strategic mentor network where entrepreneurs, investors and executives will advise companies, offering sector and domain expertise.
